Octopus Energy Help & FAQs

My meter reading doesn't seem right. What do I do?

If you feel your meter readings are incorrect, you'll need to contact your TDSP to request an on-site meter inspection. During this inspection, a technician will check your meter to ensure it's functioning correctly and reporting accurate readings. If the technician finds any issues, they'll repair or replace your meter. You then can request a re-bill of your electricity bills to reflect the updated readings.

If the technician finds there is nothing wrong, you may want to conduct an energy audit of your home to see if you can find the culprit behind the unusual meter reads.

You might have to pay for a meter read inspection, and the cost can differ depending on your TDSP. Your utility company will let you know about any fees before the inspection, so there won't be any surprises. If there are any charges, they will be included in your energy bill under the "TDSP Charges" section.

Reminder: As your energy supplier, we are not responsible for your meter, and legally required to bill you based on the meter readings we get from your TDSP.
