How do my solar credits work?
Your total production is the amount of energy your solar panels generate, which is then used by your home. Any excess energy that you do not use is sent to the grid, and we credit you for that excess production.
Your solar panels are not producing anything at night, so you will always pull kWh usage from the grid at that time as well as anytime your solar panels are not keeping up with your usage during the day. This means that you will most likely always have a bill with us.
Your bill will reflect both the rates and the amount of excess energy you produce. The rate at which we sell electricity to you differs from the rate at which we purchase your excess energy.
