Sunny Money Contest

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Eligibility

Entrant must be (1) an active solar customer of Octopus Energy at the time of winner selection and (2) older than 18 years of age.

Contest Period

August 1, 2024 - August 31, 2024

How to Enter

• Customers may opt-in until August 14th. Opt- in here.
• Any Octopus Energy solar customer who opts-in to the contest will be eligible to win one of the Prizes.
• A confirmation email will be sent to you after you opt-in. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 2 days of entering the contest, please reach out to us at (833) 628-6888 or heretohelp@octopusenergy.com.
• Each account equals one entry. Accounts with multiple holders will not increase your number of entries (for example, two people named under your account will not equal two entries).

Prizes

• First highest average exporter will receive a $500 Visa gift card.
• Second highest average exporter will receive a $400 Visa gift card.
• Third highest average exporter will receive a $300 Visa gift card.

Winner Selection

• 3 prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place solar customers that export at the highest average Real-Time Wholesale Price per kWh throughout the Contest Period. Real-Time Wholesale Prices are based on Ercot’s System-Wide Prices here. Customers can track their progress during the Contest Period in the Octopus Energy App.
• Winners will be announced on September 5, 2024.

Winner Notification

• We will notify the potential winner by phone and/or email. If we are unable to contact a winner, we may select an alternative potential winner.
• If the winner cannot be contacted within 2 days of the first notification attempt, if the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, if winner rejects the prize, or in the event of noncompliance with these rules, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. If a prize is forfeited, no compensation will be given.

Participation Drawing

• Each solar customer who opts-in to the contest and participates will be entered into a drawing to receive a $50 Visa gift card.
• 5 contest participants will be chosen at random. The top 3 prize Winners are not eligible for the participation drawing.
• Odds of being selected depend on the number of entrants minus the 3 top solar export winners.

Miscellaneous

• Prize is not transferable.
• Gift cards cannot be converted for cash payments.
• Winner(s) agree that we may use their name and/or a provided image on social media without additional compensation.
• None of the employees, or family members of employees of Octopus Energy, or any of its affiliate companies may take part in the contest.
• Customer is responsible for providing the Company the best address to mail their Prize. Octopus Energy is not responsible for courier issues and prize delivery.
• VOID OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES AND WHERE PROHIBITED. All federal, state, and/or local rules and regulations apply.
• Octopus Energy, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest.
• We may substitute the prize for with a prize of equal or lesser value.
