Bestie Bonus Bash Terms and Conditions
Contest Period The Bestie Bonus Bash Contest runs from July 9, 2025, through August 24, 2025. All current Octopus Energy customers are automatically entered into the contest. No additional opt-in is required.
Eligibility To participate and win, you must be a current Octopus Energy customer at the time of winner selection. Employees of Octopus Energy are not eligible to participate.
How to Earn Points Participants can earn points through referrals:
- One (1) point will be awarded for every individual who signs up using your personalized referral link and starts energy supply with Octopus Energy.
- If a referred individual signs up but has not yet started supply, you will receive 0.5 points.
Tracking Your Progress All participants can track their progress and total points through the Bestie Bonus Bash dashboard, available via the banner in the Octopus Energy customer portal.
Prizes Top three customers with the highest point totals at the end of the contest period will receive the following prizes:
- First Place: $500 Visa gift card
- Second Place: $400 Visa gift card
- Third Place: $300 Visa gift card
Winners will be determined based on total points accumulated by August 24, 2025. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined based on the number of referrals who reached supply.
Participation Drawing Five additional winners will be randomly selected from participants who did not place in the top three. Each of these five winners will receive a $50 Amazon gift card. Odds of winning depend on the total number of participants, excluding the top three.
Winner Notification Winners will be contacted via phone and email on August 27, 2025. If a winner cannot be reached within two (2) days, fails to comply with the contest rules, or declines the prize, an alternate winner may be selected. Winners must present valid identification to claim their prize.
Prize Collection Winners may choose to collect their prize from the Octopus Energy Houston headquarters or opt for delivery. Octopus Energy is not responsible for courier or delivery issues.
Referral Rewards Separate from contest prizes, new customers referred during the contest will still receive the standard $50 account credit if they:
- Sign up through a referral link,
- Are on supply for at least 30 days, and
- Have paid their first bill.
Additional Terms
- Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Winners agree that Octopus Energy may use their name and/or provided image on social media without additional compensation.
- The contest is void outside of the United States and where prohibited.
- All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
- Octopus Energy reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the contest at any time, at its sole discretion.
