Bestie Bonus Bash Terms and Conditions
Referral Competition. Contest Period is June 17, 2024 to July 31, 2024. Must be a current Octopus Energy (OE) customer at the time of winner selection to win. Each account equals one entry. Accounts with multiple holders will not increase your number of entries. Current customers will receive one (1) point for every individual they refer to OE through their personalized referral link if that individual enrolls in an energy plan with OE. If the same individual the customer referred also connects their smart thermostat or electric vehicle to our Intelligent Octopus (IO) feature, the current customer will receive an additional one (1) point. Current customers may also receive one (1) point if they connect their own smart thermostat or electric vehicle to the IO feature. Customers can track their progress during the Contest Period in the Octopus Energy portal. Three (3) winners will be selected on August 6, 2024 for a Prize Bundle. In the event of a tie between contestants, the winner will be selected based on the number of points received for IO feature connections. Winners will be notified by phone and email. If we are unable to contact a winner, we may select an alternative potential winner. If the winner cannot be contacted within 2(two) days of the first notification attempt, if the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, if the winner rejects the prize, or in the event of noncompliance with these rules, the prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner will be selected. If a prize is forfeited, no compensation will be given. The first winner will be selected based on the highest point total accumulated throughout the Contest Period. The second winner will be selected on the second-highest point total accumulated throughout the Contest Period. The third winner will be selected based on the third-highest point total accumulated throughout the Contest Period. First highest accumulated points will receive a $500 Visa gift card. Second highest accumulated points will receive a $400 Visa gift card. Third highest accumulated points will receive a $300 Visa gift card. Winner is responsible for paying taxes on the total prize value. Winner must present identification to claim the Prize Bundle. Winner may collect Prize Bundle at Houston headquarters or select delivery. Octopus Energy is not responsible for courier issues if the winner selects delivery. In the event of a tie between contestants, the winner will be selected based only on the number of points received for IO feature connections. Not open to Octopus Energy employees.
Participation Drawing Five (5) contest participants will be chosen at random. The top three prize Winners are not eligible for the participation drawing. Odds of being selected depend on the number of entrants minus the three top referral winners.

Referral Rewards. In addition to our standard Friends and Family Referral Program, we are offering new customers who are referred through the Referral Competition and connect their smart thermostat or electric vehicle to our IO feature an additional $50 in account credit. Credits are not redeemable for cash payments.

Prize is not transferable.
Gift cards cannot be converted for cash payments.
Winner(s) agree that we may use their name and/or a provided image on social media without additional compensation.
Customer is responsible for providing the Company the best address to mail their Prize.

OE, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
