A partir del 1 de mayo de 2026, se aplicará una comisión de procesamiento del 2% a los pagos con tarjeta de crédito y débito. En Octopus, la transparencia es fundamental en todo lo que hacemos, por lo que queremos explicar exactamente por qué se implementa este cambio. Al usar una tarjeta para pagar una factura, los bancos cobran una comisión de procesamiento a la empresa que recibe el pago. Hasta ahora, Octopus ha cubierto estas comisiones en nombre de nuestros clientes. Para seguir ofreciendo tarifas de energía justas y competitivas, ahora aplicaremos una tarifa del 2% a los pagos realizados con tarjeta de crédito o débito. Por ejemplo, en un billete de $180, una tarifa del 2% sería $3,60 - ¡menos que una taza de café! Si prefiere evitar la comisión por completo, puede simplemente cambiar a pagos ACH (cuenta bancaria), que no tienen comisión de procesamiento. Sólo toma un minuto actualizar su método de pago en su cuenta Octopus a través del portal web o la aplicación.
